Join us for the closing Gallery Reception of the 31st Annual "The View" Juried Landscape Exhibition, showcasing both contemporary and traditional approaches to landscape art. This prestigious annual exhibition is open to Ohio artists working in any medium and explores topics including nature, environmental themes and world issues. This year, 107 individual artists submitted a total of 300 pieces. From these the juror, Liz Maugans, selected 60 pieces representing 58 artists for the exhibition. Maugans also selected the winners of awards totaling $1,100. Three $100 People’s Choice Awards will be presented by the Joan W. McCoy Memorial Art Fund at 2:00 p.m. during the closing gallery reception.

DuPont Brass is a unique, soulful brass ensemble from the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. Originally formed by five Howard University music majors busking to fund their education, they have grown into a dynamic ten-piece group featuring brass, a rhythm section, and vocalists. Their captivating blend of jazz, hip-hop, and R&B, termed “Eclectic Soul,” has earned them national acclaim and collaborations with high-profile organizations like ESPN and the NFL. DuPont Brass continues to inspire audiences with their genre-defying sound and commitment to music education.

Rosewood Arts Center announces a call to artists in Ohio and surrounding states to participate in the 19th annual HWD Juried Sculpture Exhibition with the Kettering Health Art Gallery at Rosewood Arts Center. HWD (Height x Width x Depth) is the area’s only gallery exhibition devoted exclusively to sculpture. This is a regional call. Entries must be original works in sculpture (3-D), completed within the last four years.
Jury is done from digital files through Call for Entry. A non-refundable entry fee of $25 for up to three artworks must accompany each entry. Multiple entries are permitted. Accepted artworks must be ready to hang/install upon arrival at Rosewood, and must be labeled with artist’s name and artwork title on the piece or its packaging.
Awards totaling $1,100 will be distributed at the discretion of the juror. The Gallery encourages sales, for which the City of Kettering Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department retains a 30% commission.
