Work at WYSO

The mission of WYSO is to give voice to our community, our nation and our world with independent news, music and storytelling.

WYSO is proud to be a 2020-2021 Report For America host newsroom. We're seeking a reporter to cover food insecurity and the business of food in southwest Ohio. Efforts by local organizations and government agencies to address this problem were only moderately successful before the COVID-19 pandemic. Since the outbreak, the area’s hunger problem has increased dramatically.

WYSO internships are an excellent way to enhance your educational experience or post-graduation resume. These paid opportunities vary greatly from term to term depending on organizational need and the strengths and skills interns offer. We partner with interns to develop a learning experience that is engaging and beneficial. Learn more about WYSO internship opportunities and how to apply.

WYSO relies on volunteers throughout the year to: Answer phones and take pledges during our fund drives, pack thank you letters and gifts for members, stuff envelopes for monthly membership renewal mailings, and help with special events and festivals.
