Art Start Preschool Storytime returns to Rosewood Arts Center Thursday, September 10th! Parents and children ages three through six are invited to enjoy one to four stories followed by a hands-on craft led by a Rosewood Instructor. Free and open to the public.

Join CWPD and local businesses for a festive, family-friendly stroll! Designed especially for preschoolers, this playful walk invites children to stop at sponsored stations along the route to collect treats. Costumes are encouraged to add to the fun!

Now in its sixth year, Halloween Hop & Howl has grown into a beloved community tradition. With a paved, accessible trail and thoughtfully selected giveaways, this free event offers a fun, safe and inclusive experience for all.

Registration is not required, however, registered participants will receive a cancellation email in the event of inclement weather.

Every Thursday night at Whisperz Speakeasy, we will be crafting a variety of fabulous martinis for just $10 each. Come have a few, this will be your favorite way to try something new and flavorful! The menu will rotate from time to time, but our attention to detail for the perfect handcrafted martinis never will! Check the calendar to see who is playing alongside our weekday specials. Springfield Civic Theatre will hold a gala celebration to mark 95 years of bringing quality theater to our community from 6-9 p.m. Oct. 8 in the Metropolis, 102 W. High St.
This 95th anniversary event will include performances of musical numbers from past productions, delicious food catered by Charlo's, and a very limited number of speeches. The event is free, but donations will be gratefully accepted.
Springfield Civic Theatre began in 1931 when a professional actor spoke at a women’s club meeting suggesting that the Springfield community could benefit from producing local theater. Since then, Civic has been devoted to producing entertaining and thought-provoking dramas, comedies, and musicals that give an outlet to many talented and dedicated local folks. Join us on Oct. 8 to celebrate this great legacy!

Mason Community Players present Decision Height, a production that tells the story of the Women Air Force Service Pilots (WASP) who served in World War II assisting the men who were fighting. It features a nine-member, all-female cast that includes seven WASP, a female flight instructor, and the government-employed den mother. Decision Height is a historical drama written by Meredith Dayna Levy. The play follows these women through triumphs and tragedies. It explores their experiences, the deep bonds they form, and the sacrifices they make while highlighting an under-recognized group of American heroes. This patriotic play will be performed October 2, 3, 8, 9, and 10 at 8 p.m. and October 4 at 2 p.m. Tickets ($18 for Seniors/Students and $20 General) are available at MasonPlayers.org, by calling 513-398-7804, or at the door. The Box Office opens one hour before curtain.
