Village Artisans Presents — 41st Annual Art on the Lawn More than 75 artists from Ohio and beyond will gather under the shade trees , in the heart of Yellow Springs, Ohio, to show and sell their original, fine arts and fine crafts at this year's Art on the Lawn on Saturday, August 9th, from 10 am-5 pm, rain or shine. This popular, free, outdoor festival of art, food and music, now in its forty first year, is sponsored by Village Artisans Gallery of Yellow Springs. Both new and returning artists will present their ceramics, drawings, fiber art, garden art, glass, jewelry, leatherwork, mixed media, paper craft, paintings, photography and more. Food vendors and live music complement the outstanding, juried artwork.

Dayton Metro Library Writer and Author Symposium is an event intended to inspire writers, motivate authors, and engage readers. In the spirit of this year’s theme is Read, Write, Explore and we invite you to dive into a full day of discovery as we connect our community with the rich talent of local writers and authors. We are excited to connect our patrons with the local writers and authors. During this full-day symposium, please join us for workshops, mini writing-themed activities, and an exploration of local authors. Books will be available for sale by local authors. During each workshop, the audience is invited to actively listen in as writers share what inspires their writing and what shapes their creativity.
DML, and uniquely this event is a celebration of storytelling and a day dedicated to inspiring writers, motivating authors, and engaging readers from all walks of life. We’re thrilled to invite local writers and authors to be part of this exciting event and to connect with a passionate, literary-minded community.
