Let us bring our heartbeats to the ground in this slow flow class, where gentle movement and rest meet.

Pamper yourself in this 1.5-hour experience while we find our mindful breath and celebrate our body in movement. Gentle movement will slowly transition into restorative poses that will be aided in the use of props.

This evening is a sweet reminder of how important and easy it can be to take care of yourself.

Please bring your own mat and anything else that will make you feel comfy and cozy.

Hot tea, coffee and water is provided.

We’re hosting a Spoken Word and Open Mic Night at Tuck-N-Reds in Yellow Springs! This is a family-friendly event, and we’re working to build a supportive community of local musicians, poets, comedians, and performers of all kinds. Let the rhythms lift your feet and your spirits! Join us on first Fridays to dance, socialize, or just sit and listen to some of the best bands and callers in the region. No experience is necessary, all ages are welcome and you don’t need to bring a partner. The caller teaches all dances before they start. Live music at every dance. 
7:00 PM – Free lesson, all encouraged to come early
7:30 – 10:30 PM – Contra dancing

Contra dance differs from Square dance in that Contra dance is done in lines rather than in a 4-couple square.   Many of the terms are the same in both Contra and Square dancing, so if you remember any of the terms from old school days or previous occasions, you’re already halfway there.   Now and then, a Contra dance caller may even call a Square dance or two during the evening’s dance.

Footwork in Contra dancing is very simple.   Generally it’s just a walking step to the music.
