Victor & Mal’s Cult Movie Night returns for a SAVAGE SEPTEMBER, Fred Savage that is, as we are proud to host a screening of the 80’s kid monster movie, LITTLE MONSTERS starring Howie Mandel as Maurice, the punk rock monster that lives in an underworld only accessed under the beds of children. Maurice befriends Bryan (Savage), a 12 year old boy who gets to meet the monster under his bed. The two become fast friends, sharing pranks and fun between their respective worlds. Also starring Fred’s real life brother Ben Savage of BOY MEETS WORLD fame. LITTLE MONSTERS feels like the perfect cozy nostalgia film to lead us into October.
We are also proud to announce that the star of LITTLE MONSTERS, actor/director Fred Savage will be in attendance for this special screening. Plus trailers & a savage short!
Pronounced Jah-see, Gyasi seems in many ways to come from another planet, and being raised in the woods of a West Virginia holler might as well be another planet in this day and age. His parents bought him a guitar at a local flea market when he was six years old and he still hasn’t gotten rid of the fleas, or the guitar. He approaches his music as an all-encompassing art piece, using fashion, storytelling, and his guitar to create a world for his music. His second full length release, “Here Comes the Good Part” is out now on Alive Records. In addition to his own music, he is the primary lead guitarist on shock rock legends Alice Cooper’s highly anticipated reunion album, “The Revenge of Alice Cooper.” Inspired by a wide range of art and culture both past and present, his work is fueled by an undeniable passion to create music that brings rock n roll into the 21st century. Writing and recording his first EP and debut full length himself, Gyasi straddles somewhere between solo artist and a full on rock n roll band. Every show is an intense and unpredictable performance with a theatricality that personifies every song, carried by his magnetic persona of the glittery rock star. With thunderous riffs, masterful guitar work, and songs that celebrate self realization with cues from Lou Reed and David Bowie, Gyasi is taking the essence of theatrical rock n roll and adding a new voice to it. Gyasi is a modern rock star like no other.
