Darian Woods
Darian Woods is a co-host of The Indicator from Planet Money, NPR's daily economics podcast and winner of the 2026 Ambie Award for Best Business Podcast. He's reported on jobs of the future, banks defending against AI attacks, and what Bad Bunny teaches us about Puerto Rican tax law.
Woods is writing a book on decision making — in particular, the dilemma about whether to stay or go (forthcoming, Harper Edge).
Before NPR, Woods worked as an adviser to New Zealand's Treasury Secretary. He has an honors degree in economics from the University of Canterbury and a Master of Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley.
