There’s a new free grocery store getting ready to open in Dayton, and they’re giving away 300 turkey dinners on Thanksgiving.
"All you have to do is come to the free store," says Nicole Adkins at With God's Grace. "The address is 5505 North Dixie Drive."
She says the free grocery will have its grand opening in December, but it won’t be a store you can just wander into.
Shoppers will need to call With God's Grace in advance, and the first time they visit, they’ll be given tips on meal planning and food prep.
"We’re focusing on healthy eating—how to buy healthy food for their families and to be able to plan those healthy foods and give them all the recipes and everything with that too," she says.
Adkins says the store can also help connect people with jobs and job training.
