Republican Congressman Mike Turner faced Democrat Theresa Gasper in the November midterms elections

Incumbent GOP Congressman Mike Turner has held onto his seat against Democratic challenger and political newcomer Theresa Gasper.

Turner's 10th District win sends him back to Washington for a ninth term.

Turner campaigned largely on his record of supporting Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and efforts to grow Dayton’s economy.

Real-estate developer Gasper was one of a number of women entering national politics for the first time this year.

She carried an endorsement from the anti-Trump group DIFA, formerly known as Dayton Indivisible For All.

Libertarian Party candidate David Harlow was also on the ballot and won around 2 percent of the votes.
