Miami Valley Meals

The Maimon Memorial Garden has provided hundreds of pounds of food to The Foodbank, Inc., and Miami Valley Meals. The garden also provides educational opportunities for high school students and visitors.

Those odd shaped fall gourds can be for more than fall decorations. More than 2,000 pounds of gourds, pumpkins and squash were processed by Miami Valley Meals to feed the surrounding Dayton-area community.

The Thanksgiving Turkey Takeaway is this Wednesday, and Miami Valley Meals will be giving away 12,000 turkey dinners for families in need. WYSO stopped by their kitchen to see how they prepare so much food and where they'll be distributing it.
