Creators, Fans To Gather For Black Power In Comics Celebration

Behind the Mask: Black Power in Comics is an exhibit at Wilberforce's National Afro-American Museum and Cultural Center that explores the history of African Americans in comic books, as characters and creators.  The Museum is preparing for an event celebrating and discussing this legacy on Saturday, October 19.  Curatorial assistant Derek Pridemore and graduate student Addison Pettiford visited the WYSO studios to talk to Kaleidsocope host Juliet Fromholt about the event including the modern creators who will be in attendence.

The Black Power in Comics Celebration 2019 is Saturday, October 10 at the National Afro-American Museum and Cultural Center in Wilberforce.
