Residents at three locations in the Miami Valley can expect lots of additional activity and noise due to a full-scale military joint exercise this weekend.

  • The Joint Mass Casualty Exercise will affect residents near Wright-Patterson Air Force Base;
  • Wright State University’s Calamityville Training and Research Facility in Fairborn;
  • and the Springfield-Beckley Municipal Airport.

Joining in the exercise will be citizen airmen with the 445th Aeromedical Staging Squadron, and their counterparts from the 944th squadron from Luke Air Force Base in Arizona.

Officials say the exercise will simulate medical operations following an invasion and will run this Saturday,( June 7, 2025) from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
