Arrests Made Following Bomb Threats At Tecumseh High School

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (AP) — A bomb threat at Tecumseh High School has resulted in two students being arrested. Investigators were already at the school looking into an earlier threat.

The Clark County sheriff's office says Tecumseh High School was evacuated last Friday after a threat to "blow up" the school was found written on a bathroom wall. A sheriff's spokesperson says investigators had identified a female suspect in that case through witnesses and video. They returned yesterday to talk with her.

Authorities say while at the school, a written threat in another bathroom was reported. Authorities working with school officials were able to identify a suspect without the school being evacuated. Authorities say that male student is charged with delinquency-criminal mischief, and a female student suspected in Friday's threat with delinquency-inducing panic.

There has been an uptick in the amount of bomb threats at schools in the area. The FBI and local law enforcement are still investigating other threats.
