What's Great in Dayton: March 22 - 28, 2013

Today at 8pm at Stivers is Dervish. The spirit of the St. Patrick's season continues! Dervish has earned widespread acclaim from critics and fans the world over. This is as good as Irish music gets - blending new compositions and traditional songs into a powerful, joyous sound.

Roy Meriwether is back home! On Saturday at 8pm, Dayton born and raised jazz pianist Roy Meriwether comes back to Gilly’s for one night. Roy has been living and performing internationally out of New York City for over 30 years. It is always an event when Roy returns home.

The Dayton Society of Painters and Sculptorsand the Dayton Printmaker's Cooperative present the 8th Annual Print Show. This is the only show in the area dedicated to the art of traditional printmaking. The 48 High St. Gallery, Gallery hours: Fri., Sat. and Sun., 2-5 p.m.

Cityfolk is celebrating Dayton's remarkable diversity with a community photo contest. Winning photographs will be exhibited at indoor and outdoor locations in the Oregon District. Deadline is Monday, March 25.
