What's Great in Dayton: March 15 - 21, 2013

Two different holidays specifically celebrate women - Mother's Day and International Women's Day. Dr. Judith Ezekiel, Women's Studies professor at Wright State University, will examine the historic roots and deeper meaning of these very different holidays at a free program at the Dayton Metro Library. Saturday, at 2:00-4:00 pm.

On Sunday, at 3 p.m. in the Schuster Center, Conductor Patrick Reynolds and the Dayton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra present Orchestra from Planet X, the second concert in the 2012-2013 Imagine Season DP&L Foundation Family Series

Cityfolk is celebrating Dayton's remarkable diversity with a community photo contest. Winning photographs will be exhibited at indoor and outdoor locations in the Oregon District. Deadline is March 25.

Right here in Dayton is the First Four Basketball Tournament.

Charlie Campbell wants to spread the news of so many wonderful aspects in the greater Dayton area. He is a cheerleader and a real believer that our area is the place to be. He has been active in this area for almost 40 years and you can hear him weekly at WYSO.
