Book Nook: This Is Ohio: The Overdose Crisis and the Front Lines of a New America by Jack Shuler

The current pandemic has distracted many of us from another health crisis here in Ohio, our overdose crisis. And as the pandemic has been raging our overdose crisis is exploding as there is a direct cause and effect linkage between the two. People are out of work. People are depressed. People are trying to numb their pain.

In his book "This Is Ohio: The Overdose Crisis and the Front Lines of a New America" Jack Shuler examines the extent of the crisis in his Ohio town and he looks at some approaches he thinks we should be taking to address this situation.

The Book Nook on WYSO is presented by the Greene County Public Library with additional support from Washington-Centerville Public Library, Clark County Public Library, Dayton Metro Library, and Wright Memorial Public Library.

Vick Mickunas introduced the Book Nook author interview program for WYSO in 1994.
