Nick Houser

Nick Houser leads the digital media team and oversees all things digital, including wosu.org, columbusneighborhoods.org, digital content, the WOSU Public Media Mobile App, social media, enewsletters, podcasts and on-demand video.

Nick has extensive experience in the journalism, digital and communications fields. He came from Ohio State’s Fisher College of Business where he served as web content manager and before that he was the college’s public relations coordinator.

Prior to joining Ohio State, he was an Associated Press Society of Ohio award-winning journalist at the

Xenia Daily Gazette, The Chronicle-Telegram in Elyria and the Delaware Gazette. Nick holds a Bachelor Degree in Journalism from The Ohio State University.

Ohio's stay-at-home order has been extended for another four weeks until May 29 by state health director Dr. Amy Acton. The previous stay-at-home order to slow the spread of the coronavirus was scheduled to expire at midnight on Friday.

Gov. Mike DeWine says Ohio’s primary election Tuesday will not take place after all. 

Gov. Mike DeWine has closed all the state's bars and dine-in restaurants until further notice, starting at 9 p.m. Sunday. Restaurants will still be allowed to stay open for carry out and delivery.

Ohio State University has suspended all in-person classes through at least March 30 due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, or COVID-19, and put a stop to all university-sponsored international travel.
