Grant To Help Revitalize Dayton Neighborhood

Greater Dayton Premiere Management

A Dayton neighborhood will be getting an economic boost thanks to a $1.5 million dollar grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

The award goes to Greater Dayton Premier Management (GDPM)—formerly the Dayton Metro Housing Authority (DMHA)—and will be used to revitalize the DeSoto Bass and Hilltop Homes areas in Dayton.

The grant is part of an $8 million dollar award to 10 economically distressed areas across the U.S. through HUD’s Choice Neighborhood Initiative. The program targets communities facing blighted housing, inadequate schools, poor health, and high crime rates.
