Fuyao Glass America Continues Hiring Local Workers

Fuyao Glass America

Fuyao Glass America in Moraine is hosting another hiring event Wednesday evening—this one in Greene County.  So far the company has hired about 1400 employees from the area and hopes to fill another 500 or so positions.

Fuyao CEO John Gauthier says filling those remaining positions is becoming a challenge.

“The labor market is tightening up and the pool of people looking for work is getting smaller and smaller," the CEO said. "So we’re trying different things and modifying our approach in some areas, but if the past is any indication, we’ll certainly find the quality people we need to build our organization the way we need to.”

Job seekers can talk to company representatives from 6 to 7:30pm at the Greene County Career Center Adult Education Building at 2960 West Enon Road.

Registration for the event begins at 5:30 p.m.

Recently, 11 workers at Fuyao in Moraine filed a list of complaints with the Occupational Health and Safety Adiministration (OSHA).

Fuyao says they are working hard to address all safety concerns of their employees.
