Montgomery County has announced funding recommendations for eight economic development projects totaling more than $1.1 million. The county’s Economic Development/Government Equity (ED/GE) Advisory Committee recommended the spring 2014 grants Wednesday.

The biggest funding winner is PSA Airlines in Dayton, which will receive $500,000 for construction projects at the Dayton International Airport including a new operations center and a site for new hangar. The company says it will create 42 new jobs and retain hundreds over the next few years. According to a release from the county, the seven other grant recipients are:Dayton Molded Urethanes, city of Dayton ($150,000); Gayston Corporation, Miamisburg ($150,000); Lunarline, Inc., Kettering ($50,000); Rohrer & Christian Building Restoration, Germantown ($80,000); Manufactured Assemblies Corporation, Vandalia ($50,000);  Prime Time, West Carrollton ($100,000); and Integrated Procurement Technologies, Vandalia ($25,000).
