In less than an hour, Republican Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan will speak at his alma mater, Miami University in Oxford. Ryan graduated from Miami University in 1992.
Tyler Sinclair with Miami University’s College Republicans says students there are excited to have an alum on the presidential ticket. He believes even students who voted for President Barack Obama in the last election may swing their votes over to Mitt Romney, but not just because he’s “one of them.”
Sinclair said, “You know you look at my friend's, the people that I know that just graduated. You look at the unemployment rate for people in my generation and what's going on in this economy, and we're worried. We've had almost four years of economic hopelessness essentially. My generation's worried about the economic future and security, and I think that when you see a man like Paul Ryan then that gives us hope, that gives us energy, and that makes us want to go out and win this election even more than we already did.”
Ryan’s visit comes on the heels of Mitt Romney’s visit to Beallsville in eastern Ohio, and Zanesville and Chillicothe on Tuesday.
