Dear WYSO Listeners --
In the next few weeks, you’ll hear some exciting changes to our music programming:
Beginning September 14, Tables of Content expands to three hours. Join 3J the DJ for your weekly journey into the world of hip hop from 8 to 11 p.m., followed by Snap Judgment.
After a summer of reruns of The Jewel Case, we’re pleased to announce our new Thursday night lineup. From 8 to 9 p.m., you’ll hear a curated selection of some of the best music specials and documentaries being made today beginning with a three-part series from NPR and WXPN, KANAVAL: Haitian Rhythms and the Music of New Orleans. And then at 9 p.m., Radio Basim will takes us Behind the Groove in his new timeslot. Thursday nights just got a whole lot funkier!
This presents us with an opportunity to bring you a brand new music show on Friday nights after Around the Fringe. Introducing Club Cuts, a masterclass in electronic music mixed live every Friday from 10 p.m. to midnight by Barry Leonhard, a former WYSO music intern and regular DJ at regional dance clubs. Your Friday night dance party just got a new soundtrack.
As always, we welcome your feedback and are proud to be your musical companion.
Yours in music,
Juliet Fromholt
