2025 Ohio May Primary

Ohio voters are urged to have current photo ID before going to the polls, when casting ballots for the 2025 primary election.

The primary election in Ohio is Tuesday, May 6, 2025. Ballots are packed with school levies and renewals — along with a Dayton city commission primary and a statewide tax measure.

Ohio's May 6 ballot will feature local primaries and money asks, but only one statewide question, on whether to renew a nearly 40-year-old initiative that allows the state to issue bonds to pay for local infrastructure projects.

There's one statewide issue on the May ballot - a $2.5 billion public works for local projects issue funded by bonds.
