Nearly five years since his last album, Nick Kizirnis' forthcoming album The Distance marks a different approach to songcraft for the longtime Dayton musician. Working with collaborators that include Kate Wakefield (Lung), Mark Patterson (Son Volt), Tod Weidner (Shrug), “Crazy Joe” Tritschler and Patrick Himes (Reel Love Recording Studio), Kizirnis crafted the album on which he performs, but Wakefield sings lead vocals. Nick Kizirnis will celebrate the release of The Distance on Saturday, Februrary 1 at Yellow Cab Tavern in downtown Dayton.
