WYSO Today: July 7, 2026

Hundreds of honey bees piled on top of and next too each other are on top of wooden hives painted blue. Some of the wax honeycombs can be seen on the edges around the bees.

Bees are essential to the agricultural community, but fewer have been seen in Greene County recently.

WYSO Today brings you news and weather for Dayton and Southwest Ohio. Fewer pollinating bees are being seen in Greene County which could impact the agricultural sector; property tax payers in Montgomery County will find out where their tax dollars go; and using credit cards to bet on sports may soon be prohibited.

A chance meeting with a volunteer in a college computer lab in 1987 brought Mike Frazier to WYSO. He is a lifelong Daytonian and the host of Morning Edition.
