On November 4, 2019 Tippecanoe High School's Center for Performing Arts, the Tipp City Public Library and Tipp City Exempted Village Schools in partnership with the Dayton Literary Peace Prize (DLPP) held a presentation by Pulitzer Prize winning author Gilbert King. King discussed his non-fiction book, Devil in the Grove: Thurgood Marshall, the Groveland Boys and the Dawn of a New America. Students had the opportunity to interview King for a podcast, have lunch with the author, have their books signed and attend the DLPP awards ceremony. The DLPP made Gilbert King available through their Author Speaker Series.
Tipp City Student interviewers include: Katie Reeder, London Eberly, Megan Haggerty, and Elise Cooper. Editing assistance from WYSO Miller Fellows Ray Graham and Lee Wade.
