This is a family-friendly event, and we’re working to build a supportive community of local musicians, poets, comedians, and performers of all kinds. The Grammy Award-winning Punch Brothers begins a twenty-eight city US tour on May 14 that continues through the summer and also includes a stop in Cincinnati, OH at Taft Theatre on Friday, June 26. The tour, which includes stops in Maine, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, North and South Carolina, and Tennessee, among other states, is the band’s most extensive since 2019.

Punch Brothers, formed in 2006, is a virtuosic quintet featuring mandolinist Chris Thile, guitarist Chris Eldridge, bassist Paul Kowert, banjoist Noam Pikelny, and violinist Brittany Haas. Known for pushing the boundaries of acoustic music, the band has garnered critical acclaim, including a Grammy for Best Folk Album for All Ashore (2018). The Washington Post applauded them for taking “bluegrass to its next evolutionary stage, drawing equal inspiration from the brain and the heart.” Over the years, Punch Brothers has become a pioneer in modern string music, with albums like Antifogmatic (2010), Who’s Feeling Young Now (2012), and The Phosphorescent Blues (2015) showcasing the group’s genre-defying sound. Rolling Stone praised their work as “wild virtuosity used for more than just virtuosity,” cementing their reputation as trailblazers in contemporary acoustic music. The band’s most recent album, Hell on Church Street (2021), is a reimagining of, and homage to, the late bluegrass great Tony Rice’s landmark solo album Church Street Blues. The record features a collection of songs by Bob Dylan, Gordon Lightfoot, Bill Monroe, and others.

Most Recently, Punch Brothers have been focused on the band's new musical variety show, The Energy Curfew Music Hour. Season One is available on all podcast platforms, with season two exclusively out on Audible

One of our club favorites, returning Friday and Saturday, June 26th and 27th to Whisperz Speakeasy — Heather & The Swing Set. This vocally led jazz ensemble will take the stage from 8-11 pm for two nights of unforgettable live music! Color Red is a Denver-based record label, founded by Eddie Roberts of the New Mastersounds and The Breaks, they specialize in releasing original funk, soul, jazz, and deep-funk music, focusing on high-quality, authentic analog production, often blending vintage sounds with modern, energetic, “old-school” vibes.

Music fans and local history enthusiasts are invited to relive the sounds, stories, and cultural impact of one of the region's most iconic radio stations at Back to the Future of Rock and Roll: A 97X Retro Rock Reunion on Saturday, June 27, 2026. The reunion brings together beloved 97X personalities and staff for an evening of behind-the-scenes stories, memories, and surprises.
From 1983 to 2004, WOXY 97X was, as hailed by Rolling Stone magazine as, "one of the most influential and fiercely independent radio stations in American broadcast history."
The 2-hour program includes the panel discussion and an audience Q&A, giving fans the chance to engage directly with the voices that helped define the station's legacy. For those seeking an even deeper dive, the VIP package offers reserved seating, an exclusive meet-and-greet with the 97X team, photo and autograph opportunities, themed snacks, and a limited-edition commemorative gift. A vintage 97X satin jacket signed in the 1990s by numerous station personnel will be up for silent auction.
