On the corner of Jefferson and Patterson Streets in Downtown Dayton there is visual arts center center downtown called K12 Gallery and Teen Education and Joint Adult Studio.
Started as a grassroots effort, the center uses professional artists to teach low-income students, youth on probation, adults with disabilities, prisoners and survivors of violence the healing quality of the arts.
This Saturday evening the arts center is having a fundraiser at the historic Hook Estate, showcasing artwork for sale by students and local artists. This event is limited to 100 people and tickets can be ordered on line.
