My enduring fascination with President Richard M. Nixon continues. Evan Thomas has written a very sympathetic biography of Nixon. Thomas shows us some aspects of the man that have been mostly forgotten since his presidency collapsed amid scandal. At the end of the book (and the end of this interview) the author describes his one personal and rather telling encounter with Richard Milhous Nixon. It was a classic moment spent with this mysterious and deeply misunderstood politician.
