What's Great in Dayton - Social Distancing Edition: April 17 - 23, 2020

https://www.facebook.com/wegerzyngardensfoundation/
Wildflowers are beginning to bloom at Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark.

Many wildflowers are blooming at Aullwood Garden, Wegerzyn Gardens, Cox Arboretum, and Germantown MetroParks, and you likely will find these in your neighborhood and other outdoor spaces as well. This would be great to see as you are getting your outside exercise.

The Dayton Artist Stream Facebook page provides a space for local artists to share their creations—from musical performances and poetry readings to visual art demonstrations.

Mister C LIVE is also on Facebook. You can learn how to bend light, create chemical reactions with household items, make a square bubble using a homemade bubble recipe and lots more.

The Hall Hunger Initiative provides updates and resources to help the hungry in our community. Their website is: hallhunger.org

The Dayton Metro Library Poetry Contest is seeking submissions and there are 3 categories: Teen, Adult, and Older Adult. The deadline is April 30.

Each Friday Dayton Live posts a new video on their Facebook page. On your Facebook go to DaytonLive365

On Sunday you can learn all about The Oakwood Street Railway. This is being done by the Wright Library and the Oakwood Historical Society and it is by Zoom at 2pm. You go to wrightlibrary.org and then go in their calendar and put in Sunday and then you hit the Oakwood Street Railway and can get registered.

Trust each of you are doing something and are healthy…
