The nearly 100-year-old Dwight L. Barnes Building on Far Hills Avenue in Kettering was saved from demolition when local organizations stepped forward to rehab its interior as a multi-use facility for professionals and the community

WYSO Today brings you news and weather for Dayton and Southwest Ohio. A nearly 100-year-old school building in Kettering will now get a $16.5 million renovation and reuse; state education leaders are celebrating improvements in the annual report card; and over 130 companies will be on hand for the Montgomery County Job Fair.

A chance meeting with a volunteer in a college computer lab in 1987 brought Mike Frazier to WYSO. He is a lifelong Daytonian and the host of Morning Edition.
