The University of Dayton and the Entrepreneur’s Center will become the anchor tenants of the Dayton Arcade.
Both organizations say they are collaborating on a promise to create the Arcade Innovation Hub.
The hub will serve as a link between academic programs from the University of Dayton and the community. Businesses, startup companies, and student programming will all converge in this common innovation space, according to Entrepreneur’s Center President, Scott Koorndyk.
“It’s in the vision to have students actively involved in the innovation space," says Koorndyk. "Whether that’s through academic programming, learning opportunities with companies and startups, business plans competitions and presentations.”
Koorndyk also wants to involve other Dayton area colleges like Wright State and Sinclair.
UD’s partnership with the Entrepreneur's Center and Dayton Arcade was first revealed during the inauguration speech of new university president, Eric Spinna on Tuesday.
