On Tuesday, November 4th, Ohio voters will elect a slew of statewide offices and decide on many local issues.

GOP Candidates Victorious In Clark County

Several Clark County races appeared to be competitive heading into Election Day, but with 100 percent of precincts reporting, unofficial voting totals revealed that GOP candidates were victorious in all of the contests.

The race for Clark County commissioner between incumbent Republican Rick Lohnes, who is one of two GOP members on the three person commission, defeated Democrat David Herier. Lohnes captured 60 percent of the vote.

Republican Ross McGregor's 79th Ohio House District seat was up for grabs after he reached his term limits at four terms. Democrat Darrell Jackson was handily defeated by Republican Kyle Koehler who garnered 60 percent of the vote.

Another contest that drew interest was the race for Clark County Auditor between John Federer, a Republican, and Democrat Nikki Crawford. Federer defeated incumbent George Sodders in 2011 to win the seat and held onto his seat against Crawford as he was able to take 62 percent of the vote.
