Ohio Casino September Revenues Down From August

Ohio's casino revenue took a dive at all four sites across the state in September.

The latest monthly totals released Tuesday show all four had a decline from August. Combined, the casinos also posted lower overall revenue numbers compared with September a year ago.

Casinos in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus and Toledo pulled in just over $63 million last month. That was down by $5.5 million from September 2013.

The casinos in Cleveland and Cincinnati saw revenue drops for the month compared with a year ago, but the Toledo and Columbus casinos did show slightly better numbers in September than they did last year.

The voter-approved casinos have drawn more than $612 million so far this year. About one-third of those revenues are collected in taxes.
