The Greater Springfield Convention & Visitors Bureau has been honored for its marketing excellence and tourism development.
The state awarded Springfield 10 Middy awards at a recent ceremony in Marietta.The awards are named after Ohio’s Midwest location and recognizes excellence in multimedia efforts by local visitors bureaus.
Greater Springfield's CVB took home the most first-place awards and the most awards overall in the competition.
The bureau says the economic impact of tourism in Clark County has increased by $20 million since 2009, and says enhanced marketing efforts have helped drive more businesses and tourists to the Clark County area.
