Introduction to Artificial Intelligence - Lunch & Learn

Curious about how artificial intelligence (AI) is shaping the world around us? Wright Memorial Public Library invites the community to a free Lunch & Learn AI presentation on Thursday, February 5 at 12:00 noon. The program is designed to explain how AI affects our daily lives and show tools on how to use it safely and effectively. Registration is requested at wrightlibrary.org/calendar for the in-person program or the virtual option. Guests are welcome to bring a lunch to enjoy during the program. This program is open to community members of all ages and backgrounds; no prior technical experience is required.
Topics will include:
• How AI appears in everyday life
• Core AI concepts and terminology explained simply
• Tools for different tasks and audiences
• Safe and ethical AI practices
• Resources to continue learning about AI

The program will be lead by Zach Katris, a Senior Learning Strategist from Dignified Learning, and former public school teacher and principal with more than a decade of experience in instructional design, project management, and leadership. Katris has led workshops on AI literacy, digital workflows, and instructional design for schools, nonprofits, and business teams. He is passionate about making complex ideas approachable and helping people use technology responsibly to enhance learning and work.
