Hanukkah Specials on WYSO

WYSO celebrates Hanukkah this Sunday, December 9th with special programming from NPR and Public Radio International.

Tune in at 6:00 PM for Hanukkah Lights. A perennial NPR favorite, Hanukkah Lights features Hanukkah stories and memoirs written by acclaimed authors expressly for the show, as read by NPR's Susan Stamberg and Murray Horwitz.

Then, at 8:00 PM, Mindy Ratner and Bill Morelock explore the customs and music of the holiday on Candles Burning Brightly, from Public Radio International.

At 9:00, it's Chanukah In Story And Song hosted by Leonard Nimoy. The Western Wind perform Latino songs of Spanish Jews, Yiddish melodies of Eastern Europe, and modern Israeli and American tunes.

Alpha Rhythms starts a little later this week, WYSO's Juliet Fromholt brings you music that will transport your mind, inhabit your body, and transform your soul from 10:00 to 11:00 PM.

Happy Hanukkah!
