Jess Montgomery returned to the program to discuss the third installment in her Kinship mystery series which is set in SE Ohio during the 1920's. In this one her protagonist, Sheriff Lily Ross, is coping with a criminal organization that is conspiring to produce illegal alcohol in the fictional Bronwyn County.
Those were prohibition days, illegal moonshine was always a nuisance in the region and Lily has often chosen to overlook it. Heck, one of her best friends has an illegal still operating out there in a remote hollow. But now that this Cincinnati syndicate is making big plans to
turn the area into a hub for their criminal enterprise federal agents are starting to sniff around and this will surely force Sheriff Ross to intervene.
