Christina Consolino just published her first novel "Rewrite the Stars." Over the many years that I have been talking to authors about their work I have had numerous opportunities to chat with writers who have just published their first books. There's nothing quite like it. They are excited. They are nervous. They are finally fulfilling their dreams!
Christina's novel opens with a pivotal moment as her main character is out shopping and she notices a man in the grocery store-there's something about him, something mesmerizing. Will this become a great love story? "Rewrite the Stars" is what Christina describes as "women's fiction." Her book is packed with emotion. We recorded this interview before the book's official publication date. That's often memorable. And it can be fun. We try to keep it from becoming a nerve-racking experience for guests who might be feeling jittery.
Perhaps one day we'll be look back at this early conversation and think; hey, that's an author who is now well known. It can happen!
I hope you enjoy it.
