One of my favorite aspects of talking to writers about their books are the times when I have the opportunity to talk to authors who have just published their first books. One gets such a vicarious sense of excitement when an author is beginning a career and that first published work is being sent out into the world.
Nev March has just published her first novel, "Murder in Old Bombay," and I have a feeling that we are going to be hearing a lot more from her in the future. I thoroughly enjoyed this mystery. It is set in the early 1890's in India and her sleuth is a devotee of the exploits of the legendary Sherlock Holmes. In our interview Nev talked about how her mother would read them the works of Arthur Conan Doyle for bedtime stories. "Murder in Old Bombay" is a loving tribute to that fictional denizen of Baker Street.
