Book Nook: Nature in Dayton: An Anthology by Dane Mutter

Vick Mickunas' 2020 interview with Dane Mutter

"Nature in Dayton: An Anthology" by Dane Mutter

Dane Mutter returned to the program to talk about his new essay collection "Nature in Dayton: An Anthology." He originally wrote these pieces for the Downtowner which used to be a supplement to the Dayton Daily News. Many of these columns are reflections and reactions to flora and fauna that were spotted right within metropolitan Dayton.

Dane Mutter isn't one to toot his own trumpet so allow me to say that for decades he has been one of our visionary regional leaders in the areas of wildlife management and conservation. The next time you are in Greene County you might want to check out the Dane Mutter Prairie.

The Book Nook on WYSO is presented by the Greene County Public Library with additional support from Washington-Centerville Public Library, Clark County Public Library, Dayton Metro Library, and Wright Memorial Public Library.
