If you watched the PBS program the "Great American Read" then you know about some of the novels that were included on their list of the 100 best loved works of fiction in America. I was pleasantly surprised to see that out of the 30 books that made their list which have been issued since this program went on the air in 1994 a number of the authors of those titles have appeared on this radio show.
I decided to put together a special program that features excerpts from three of those books. They are "Memoir of a Geisha" by Arthur Golden, "The Notebook" by Nicholas Sparks, and the "Outlander" series by Diana Gabaldon.
The Book Nook on WYSO is presented by the Greene County Public Library with additional support from Washington-Centerville Public Library, Clark County Public Library, Dayton Metro Library, Wright Memorial Public Library, and Microsun Lamps.
