Oktoberfest is this weekend at Dayton Art Institute.

If you are interested in automobiles there is an auction of 30 cars and more than 350 lots of memorabilia and collectibles. This is the Taj Ma Garaj Auction in downtown Dayton on Saturday at 10am.

The famous Oktoberfest at the Dayton Art Institute features family activities, outstanding artisans, live entertainment throughout the weekend, delicious food, a Weingarten, and, of course, an amazing selection of more than 40 different craft and international beers. It’s Saturday, noon to 11:30pm; and Sunday, noon to 7pm.

Country Applefest is at the Warren County Fairgrounds and there are crafts, entertainment, and plenty of apple-centric food. Saturday, 10am to 7pm and Sunday, 10 am to 6pm.

The Westminster Lecture is on Faith & Civic Life. The featured speaker is Rabbi Judith Schindler, of Charlotte, North Carolina and her theme is: "Building Bridges of Peace: Risk and Reward". A special interlude music will be provided by an ensemble from the Dayton Gay Men's Chorus. This is at the Westminster Presbyterian Church on Saturday, at 7pm.

LIGHTS, CAMERA, AUCTION! Everything is there and this is a fundraiser to support the old film Plaza Theatre in Miamisburg. It’s on Saturday, 6 to 9pm.

Our pets are a blessing to us and if you want to have your pets blessed then bring your pet or a photo to St Paul’s Episcopal Church in Oakwood. It will be outside and it’s on Sunday at 10:30am.

Gotta go….
