Underdog Academy, Broken English 101: "Stories Within the Margin.” Aligned with a heavy hitting roster of poets who are known for their luminous wordplay and unmatchable wit, this is going to be one for the books! Enjoy the sounds provided by the live band and relax to spoken word performed by some of the biggest names from all over Ohio. PNC Arts Annex - Theatre Saturday, 8pm.

For more than a dozen years Coco's Bistro has put on "Savor your Sunday" brunches benefiting Stivers School for the Arts. It's one of the only times during the entire year that the popular restaurant is open for brunch 10am to 1:30pm.  And this Sunday the Stivers String Ensembles are performing.

Flowering orchids of all shapes and sizes are on display at the 60th annual Spring Orchid Show and Sale presented by the Miami Valley Orchid Society. This is at the Cox Arboretum MetroPark, Saturday and Sunday 10am to 4pm.

The day Abraham Lincoln spoke in Dayton. Jim Crabtree does his portrayal of president Lincoln in full period dress. His enactment depicts Lincoln in 1859, during a visit to Dayton. This is at the Wright Memorial Public Library, on Sunday, at 2pm.

The Dayton Literary Peace Prize are announcing their Call for Submissions. If you have read a book that was published or translated into English in 2018 and you think it fits their criteria and should be nominated, fill out their form. Nominations are due by March 15.
