Tour de Gem is this weekend.

Scale versions of some of history’s well-known airframes will take to the skies over Labor Day weekend during the Giant Scale Radio-Controlled Model Aircraft Air Show. It is Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 4pm at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force.

Tour de Gem, The Dayton Cycling Classic, is an event to foster a sense of community, history, pride and healthy living through cycling. The Start and the Finish is at the RiverScape Pavilion in downtown Dayton. The routes take riders through many local communities spotlighting a wide variety of local area Gems. This is Sunday morning.

At the Reggae Festival you groove with the music and live in the reggae moment! There is food and merchandise there and the emcee for the day is Niki Dakota. Go to the Levitt Pavillon, on Sunday, from 1 to 9pm.

Dayton Magazine is now accepting nominations for businesses, establishments, and professionals in categories that include dining, services, entertainment, health, shopping, and more! The deadline for your nominations is September 20th.

The Dayton Art Institute's exhibition of Monet and Impressionism has been extended and is there until September 22. And then next door is the Our Century: Dayton Area Collects. When you look at the art that local people have it is totally amazing.

PEACE DAYton celebrations in the Miami Valley begins Sunday and this is the First of Four Weeks. Over 100 organizations and 40 events keep Dayton Strong.

The Tecumseh Land Trust in Yellow Springs is having a "Pollinator Photo Contest." Go to their website to see the rules and you need to submit by the end of September.

Charlie Campbell wants to spread the news of so many wonderful aspects in the greater Dayton area. He is a cheerleader and a real believer that our area is the place to be. He has been active in this area for almost 40 years and you can hear him weekly at WYSO.
