The US Environmental Protection Agency has started community interviews to obtain feedback regarding a contaminated aquiferin Clark County. The public commentopportunity was moved to a digital format due to COVID-19 concerns.
The Superfund site is a contaminated aquifer in and around the village of Donnelsville. In 1990, routine sampling detected elevated levels of harmful chemicals in the water. The contamination has now moved into local drinking wells. The site was put on the US EPA’s National Priorities List in 2018.
The EPA says the information gathered through these interviews will be used to ensure meaningful community involvement throughout the rest of the cleanup process.

But do it fast — residents have just three days this week to schedule an appointment and make their comments known. The comment period closes this Thursday, June 25.
