Gov. DeWine vetoed a bill that would have required a photo ID for people voting by mail.

WYSO Today brings you news and weather for Dayton and Southwest Ohio. The Supreme Court has paved the way for the Trump administration to end Temporary Protected Status for Haitian immigrants in the United States; a bill that would have required absentee voters provide photo identification has been vetoed by Gov. DeWine; and two solar projects in southwest Ohio are dead for now.

A chance meeting with a volunteer in a college computer lab in 1987 brought Mike Frazier to WYSO. He is a lifelong Daytonian and the host of Morning Edition.
