Greene County Republican Treasurer Dick Gould will face Democratic Beavercreek native Susan Lopez in the race for a seat on the Greene County Commission in November’s general election.

Both Gould and Lopez won by wide margins in Tuesday's Ohio primary, with Gould beating three-term Republican Greene County Commissioner Alan Anderson 62 percent to 38 percent. Lopez bested Yellow Springs physician Steve Bujenovic 79 percent to 21 percent.

Lopez is director of the Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Family Resource Center. Gould, of Xenia, worked as a police officer, accountant, and realtor before becoming County Treasurer in 2011.

Xenia attorney Anderson has served on the commission since 2007.

Lopez has not held public office before. The Greene County Commission is a three-person board. Each member is elected to serve a four-year term.
