Dear Mr. President,
I am a general dentist practicing in Tipp City, Ohio, for over 40 years. The current dental Medicaid system became so dysfunctional 10 years ago that I stopped seeing Medicaid patients. And 20 years before that I developed an alternate system that I have used successfully to prevent dental disease in my practice. It worked so well that I developed a 50-page proposal using HealthPark for a three-year Beta Site study that would replace the current system that promotes cheap, quick, unsupervised fixes with my system that rewards both patients and dentists, to improve the patient’s dental health.
Over the last 15 years I have hosted various state senators, representatives and state/county officials to see my plan in operation here at HealthPark. All were excited, but none could help me write a successful grant proposal to develop a statistical base to show that my system would not only improve the Medicaid patients dental health, but also save significant money compared to the current system. I am requesting funding for my Beta Site.
