A statewide effort to collect more child support from parents is seeing mixed results from county to county in Ohio.
Child-support experts tell The Columbus Dispatch that the main reason is funding.
They say the number of cases each child-support caseworker deals with varies by county because of funding from each county.
Around the state, Geauga and Delaware counties each collected over 80 percent of the child-support money owed in the last fiscal year.
The statewide average was 66 percent.
A spokesman for the state Department of Job and Family Services says some low collection rates can be attributed to unemployment.
Two of the state's biggest counties, Cuyahoga and Hamilton, are among those with the lowest collection rates.
